Introduction

“An extraordinary capacity to create global workforce team around an individual purposeful vision, through demonstration of individual skills, thinking globally, anticipating opportunity, threats and using common leadership networks” (Greenberg.L.C. 2003).

Global leadership is a diversified term that includes all aspects of business and environment. In order to develop good leaders who can effectively lead the organization, it is very much important to understand what makes leaders effective and challenging across cultures. Culture play a vital role how one leader behave in a particular environment and the definition about good and excellent larders who lead their organization may vary from culture to culture. Researchers have shown that leadership behavior in one culture could be ineffective in other cultures.

Characteristics of global leaders

Some of the basic global characteristics of leaders to be successful are

4.Acquisitions and mergers

5.Sharing goals and vision with their employees.

The above mentioned are some of the basic characteristics which needs to be present in every leader irrespective of culture and environment in which they operate. The change in degree of leadership profile from the past or present or future has interesting implications for development of leadership with consistent norms and trends.

Global leaders who might not consider themselves to be leaders

In today's world global leaders don't even consider themselves as leaders or tend t avoid getting this title. They see themselves as employees involved in the process of delivering customer satisfaction and achieving company goals by providing amazing customer experience. They feel their presence as to help their customers in whatever their capacity is, in order to have successful transaction with their customers. But unfortunately its organization hierarchy that prevails almost every other organization of selecting those people as leaders who are hire in their rank or chain of command, no matter wheter they do have leadership skills of leading their organization.

Problems with Existing Frameworks

Although thousands of research have been conducted on global leadership; however, there are few weaknesses found to be in every framework offered by various professionals.

Role of an individual leader in a given situation has not been clearly addressed.

Competencies has been, described are often too long or descriptive that there implications are impossible in the actual world.

Many global practices are an extension of domestic's policies and leadership consultants honestly believe their models can be implicated in every situation. (Aperian Globa, 2009)

Leader's impact on culture

Organizations are most successful when their employees feel valuable and appreciated, which eventually in case their motivation and commitment towards organization. Loyalty and productivity are link with employee's satisfaction of being working in the organization. Developing a positive organizational culture solely depends on organizational l leader who runs the entire show. Organizational leaders who encourage their employees to work honestly and create differences through individual thinking and creativity can maneuver around any threat prevailing in the environment.
