Introduction

One of the most critical issues facing the health of (Georgia) is the failing, stitched-together system of trauma hospitals. Trauma is both a medical as well as a psychological concept. Medical trauma means a larger physical injury or wound. From a psychological point of view, trauma refers to experiences that are painful, stressful and shocking are emotional and persistent mental and physical effects resulting in common. The General Assembly has consumed more time trying to adjust and lessen the certificate-of-need regulations in order to provide more competition for the very hospitals it expects to render expensive treatment in the case of emergencies pertaining in Georgia (Dunne, 2003).

Discussion

Lawmakers are aware of the crisis, but for some reason they believe the participating hospitals will continue to absorb the costs. A psychological trauma or emotional injury is a normal reaction to an extreme event. The memories of the stressful event are strong emotions associated with and stored in the structure of the brain (Bolton, 2003). Trauma is a major public health problem in Georgia, claiming more than 2,000 people and disabling nearly 6,000 each year. Those results in more than 50,000 years of potential life lost in this Georgia alone. The Health Department's goal is to be sure that everyone in Georgia has an organized system of trauma care that offers them excellent patient care and the best possible recovery.

Trauma in Georgia

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2000 the world occurred in approximately 5 million deaths various types of injuries, accounting for 9% of overall mortality at Georgia for that year, with traffic incidents on the main roads cause of death from trauma. Medication and psychotherapy are considered as the best and the most commonly used treatments to Traumatic in Georgia. A proper mental health specialist can only determine whether to treat a patient with medication or the talk therapy or a combination of both is utilized, which depends on the level of traumatic centre existing in Georgia.

In addition, trauma accounts for 12% of fee disease, and it is estimated that 90% of deaths from trauma occur in Georgia with intermediate and low socioeconomic status.
