Introduction

The problems of business ethics are as old as entrepreneurship. Now worldwide ethics of business relations are widely studied. The modern enterprise is at the heart of countless ethical issues like financial scandals to offshore operations, problems of pollution and global warming through employment equity, offshoring work, and advertisements encouraging overconsumption or endangering democratic states. Business ethics monitors ethical behavior of members of the company and other partners (Thomson, 1999). With the help of business ethics are achieved two important goals of the company: respect the constitution and rules of its members and partners to exercise control over them. In this paper we are going to address ethical issue faced by Company Apple (Foxconn) Labor conditions, we are also going to study effect of these issues on stakeholders of the company; in the last we are going to list some recommendations to avoid these kinds of ethical issues.

Discussion

Apple is one of the largest clients of Foxconn, which makes them an easy target for criticism. Most of the load placed on the Foxconn employees without a doubt comes from Apple. Foxconn has an impressive track record of dubious achievements. These include regular work ethics violations, suicides workers, discrimination in the factories, accidents with victims and victims among the staff, instances of illegal increase in working hours and other displays of affection and concern for others. Interestingly, after a series of suicides of employees in 2010, some buildings Foxconn in China were equipped with special nets that prevent workers thrown out of windows. The central assumptions I am making based upon the facts presented is that Apple is in the crosshairs of various media in recent years due to working conditions at its factories in China. Specifically, on the giant Chinese company Foxconn, lurking shadows of overcrowding and exploitation as well as waves of suicides among its employees that reflect on the real conditions of work behind the walls. Foxconn has about 1.3M worldwide employees. If Foxconn is as bad as Western media says, then no one is willing to work there. We all know China is short of labor these couple years along the coast.
