Introduction

This paper intends to explore about the various diet choices people make. I believe low calorie diet is the best for those who really are health conscious and wants to remain fit. This paper will argue about the benefits of low calorie diet over other forms of dieting.

Specific Arguments

In order to remain health and fit throughout one's life, everyone needs to maintain their weights. I believe the phrase of 'we are what we eat' is essentially true. All the forms of dieting refer to the practice of firstly achieving and then maintaining a desired level of weight. However, the concept of dieting is often not considered healthy because people intend to lose their weights instantly which create health issues (April, 2010).

I believe that low calorie diet is the best diet as compared to all other forms because of two main reasons. Firstly, low calorie diet provides us with an opportunity to develop a habit of careful eating. Losing weight is not a one or two weeks' phenomenon. Going towards low calorie diet makes people aware of the nutritional values of whatever they eat. Secondly, low calorie diets are assumed to promote lifelong health benefits because this form diet has the ability to make people maintain their eating habits and ultimately weights throughout their lives (April, 2010).

Evidence of Outside Research

According to Doctor Frankie Phillips report published by BBC law calorie diet provides lifelong benefits by lowering the insulin levels and the body temperature at core. The research showed the experiences of 48 overweight men and women who lost the maximum weight of around 10.4% while restricting their calorie intake as compared to other forms of dieting (www.news.bbc.co.uk).
