The modeling of the extrusion passes away is the first stage of accomplishing a 3D replication after contemplating the rudimentary factors of the pass away conceive and constructing, such as the shape of the product, the extent of the pass away land, and the billet size. Acomplex symmetric merchandise shape — I-section — was used in this study with the dimensions shown in Fig. 1in modeling the different simplified and shave dies. The origin is presumed to be of the center of the billet and the pass away cross-sections. The length of the die land was presumed to be 4.0 in. for all dies used (Shivpuri, Altan, 2002). In addition, a cylindrical billet 2.0 in. in diameter and 4.0 in. in extent was utilised in all simulations.

The next step was accomplishing the geometric modeling for the shave and the shave with feeder plate dies. For the shear die, all of the cross-sectional curves were erased except for the first curve, which represents the product, and the last curve, which represents the billet edge (Jia, 2004). In alignment to create the interior shear pass away exterior, the first bend was extruded toward the die body (in the contradictory z-direction) for 1 in. and the last bend was furthermore extruded toward the die body (in the z-direction) for 3 in. Some case exterior were conceived, then the shut volume between the pass away internal surface and the external case exterior was characterised as a solid using the identical option as in the simplified die geometric (Fig. 2) modeling. For creating the different feeder plate passes away, the methods were nearly the identical as for the shear pass away except that there was one more bend ...
