Glycemic Index Reference Guide Targeted At Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients
Abstract
The incidence of Type2 diabetes is expanding in numerous components of South Asia, where resources may not endow goals for glycemic Index to be achieved. The aim of this study were to recount glycemic command, diabetes care, and difficulties in Patients with type2 diabetes from the Western Pacific Region and to recognise components affiliated with glycemic control and hypoglycemia.

CHAPTER 01: INTRODUCTION
Outline of the Study
Patient education is considered an integral part of comprehensive diabetes management. Structured patient programs for non-insulin-treated Type II diabetic subjects have been shown to reduce body weight, decrease use of Oral Hypoglycemic Agents (OHGA), and improve overall quality of diabetes care in patients treated by general practitioners. Although the principles of patient education in diabetes have been described for 120 years, to date structured educational programs are not implemented in most national health care systems.
Aims and Objectives
The aims of the research are:
To examine GI and GL value for composite meals mainly consumed by south Asian and creating reference guide.
To examine low GI and GL healthier diet and creation of reference guide for type2 diabetes mellitus patients targeted to south Asian back ground living in UK.
Limitation of the Study
A number of limitations of our study must be mentioned. These limitations also provide avenues for further research.
A major limitation is that only one organization was selected. In future studies a number of different industries can be selected to improve generalizability.
Secondly, our study will use data obtained from customers to a limited extent. Additional studies in this field should use customer-based data to a greater extent than we will to achieve a deeper understanding of the processes that drive customer reactions.
Thirdly, our study merely considers the moderating effects of the customer orientation of integration. It is plausible that customer orientation of integration has a direct effect on cost savings and market-related performance.
CHAPTER 02: LITERATURE REVIEW
Diabetes education plays a key role in empowering people with the knowledge and skills to manage their own condition effectively. In recent years a variety of educational methods have been suggested to improve the effectiveness and decrease the cost of managing patients suffering from chronic illnesses.
Such educational methods include community based programmes utilizing community health nurses telephone consultations, group therapy psychosocial group intervention and recently internet/ website based specialised patient education. (Hussain 2005)
However comprehensive management of chronic diseases such as diabetes will require addressing three inter-related components which includes medical, lifestyle (including diet modification and optimal exercise) and psychological elements (including self management skills, self care activities and moo. It may suggest that behavioural outcomes were a stronger predictor of mortality among diabetic patients than metabolic and physiological ...
