Abstract

Parental involvement and home-school partnerships have been researched and addressed

at the national, state, and local levels. Despite the research of this topic, there is still concern regarding parental involvement and what constitutes effective parental involvement in the education of students. Educators, parents, and community members may have different opinions regarding effective involvement practices and the ways each can contribute to the educational process. Definitions of parental involvement have been determined by schools, with little or no input from parents or members of the community.
