Are art classes at elementary school helps children developing creativity?

Introduction

This paper is based on the topic “Do art classes in elementary school helps develop creativity?” Creativity is not a skill rather it is an asset that develops with experience and the passage of time. Creativity is not a thing, which can be developed overnight, but it is the quality of thinking out of the box, in situations, where no other solution is available (Bronson, 1).

In simpler terms, the concept of creativity can be defined as “Creativity is not more than the union of imagination with practicality, we can imagine something and by the practical we can carry out, using all our knowledge. Being creative means knowing how to combine the knowledge we have to develop something new and functional. Innovative and say because what we develop has to be something that does not exist, or improving something that already exists, in both cases you have to meet a need, whether personal, corporate or social (Bronson, 1).

Discussion

Most of the people define creativity in connection with arts. This is not true to some extent. Arts classes can be a source of developing creative thinking among the students of elementary classes, but they are not the sole factor responsible to harness such thinking. We also have educational barrier that we are inculcated from an early age, sometimes indirectly and sometimes not so much that the teacher is always the m {as students know and will never know more than him. This will usually accept as true all that the teacher teaches, we consider the possibility that it can be wrong or realize that their ideas may already be obsolete.
