Introduction

Decision support system plays an important role in any organizations. Those organizations which have a strong decision system are successful in their field of operation. Organizations use different models for decision making which vary in their specific functions. I have taken a hospital as an organization and how it functions in its field. The model is present in the appendix.

Effects of decision support systems

The decision-making process is one of the activities that occur most frequently in the business world. It comes in all levels of the organization, from attendance or ancillary to the CEOs of companies. In all cases you have one or more targets to meet considering a set of constraints (Orlikowski, 1994).

In general, support systems are intended Decisions critical to support and facilitate this process through timely and reliable collection of relevant information.

Such decisions are taken at intermediate levels within the organization and is characterized by predictable to some extent, in such a manner that can be developed in advance some models or programs to prepare the decision-making time. In addition, authors refer to this concept as structured or semi-structured decisions. Others call programmed decisions.
