Community's Health and Well being

The overall objective of this program is to provide the entire jail community various services to promote wellness and psychosocial health. We understand that we cannot speak of quality in the jail if we do not attend to the health of its members, valuing it as not only the absence of disease but as a general welfare state. This paper will attempt to describe how the community's health and well being can be improved. The discussion will begin by describing the therapists that would be introduced into the jails to help inmates deal with underlying issues that helped put them in the life of crime whether it be a bad home life or peer related. In addition, the discussion will also elaborate on how it would be implemented, and how it would help stop recidivism, as well as the steps it would take to get this plan into the jail system, and how it would help the community.

The community's health and well being will be carried out throughout the year, group programs on different aspects that affect health as test anxiety program, program to improve social skills, program of self esteem and personal knowledge, program for control of anxiety or program of positive emotions and well-being will be conducted to help the criminal in jail with the purpose of serving the community's health and well being. (Agho , Mueller and Price, 1993)

The policy proposes nineteen targets to reduce health problems and social problems that most affect the population. These performance targets require choosing the means and strategies for action in the most effective system of health and social services. They combine a set of actions of other sectors of community life.
