Abstract

This research paper is intended to determine the role of child protective services in keeping the children safe from harm and exploitation. They prevent harm to children from the abuse whether it be at home, at school or in the society. These service centers ensure the child protection and maintain the rights of children. This paper also aims at highlighting the types of child protection careers and educations.

In order to conduct this study, the qualitative approach has been used, and the information has been gathered from the empirical studies of the various articles and researches made on the child protection services. The findings of the study indicate that the child protective services play a key role in protecting children from abuse and neglect. This protective services aims at providing the security in terms of ensuring basic rights of food, shelter, clothing, freedom rights, protect from harassment, danger, injury, health care rights, emotional and any other child related rights.

It has been analyzed that the Child Protective Services workers have a great role in improving the child protection practices. The understanding of individualized case is important for the CPS workers to work more precisely and with the intervention of philosophical models that is why there is great significance of educational requirements for the CPS workers to enter into this career.

Introduction

The child protection services are the government services that have been specially designed to protect the rights of children and young people who are underage or who have not achieved the maturity. This can defined as the welfare services that aim at providing services to children exclusively in order to protect them from social abuse, psychological abuse, physical abuse and sexual abuse. These service centers are responsible to take adequate measures to safeguard the innocence of child from the various exploitations and mistreatments.

Problem statement

The child protection has been a critical issue in most of the nations. There is a great need to look into this matter and promote the child protective services in order to provide them safety as well as to maintain their rights. There is an increased need to promote this career as it is directly connected with the protection of our nation's future.

Objectives of the study

The primary objective of this study is to understand the role and benefits of child protection services in providing the safety to the children who are the future of our nation.

Another purpose is to analyze the career opportunities for people to pursue their career in this field and education and experience requirements for pursuing this career.

Significance of the study
