Child Abuse in Foster Care

Introduction

Foster care is abuse or neglect by the child's parent etc thus in this report we will be considering the causes and interventions of misconduct in foster care. There are more than half a million young children dwelling in foster dwellings in the United States at any granted time. Neglect, personal abuse, sexy abuse, and emotional abuse are the prime causes that young children are taken from their dwellings and put in foster care. Substance abuse by one or both parents is a component in more than 75% of all foster dwelling placements. (Benedict 577)
