Introduction

Affirmative advantage of application of modern technology in the armed forces is to reduce the manpower requirements along with the reduction of risk and causalities to the forces wielding these technologies. Moreover, modernized technologies in industrialized era also maintain transparency in the battlefield. Military art are often misjudged and are considered to give limited comparative advantage. On the contrary, these military arts, such as, machine guns, rifles and railway mobilization should give a decisive advantage to the concerns.

World War 1

Weapons are tested on many stages beginning from the American civil war till today in different ways. Technology during World War 1 intimated the trend of industrialization and adoption of weapons for mass destruction in general. Earlier, warfare depends upon the hand to hand combats, but during World War 1, use of machine guns became popular and supportive for soldiers. Movements by opponents were made difficult by the use of modernized equipments such as, machine guns along with mines and barbed wires. In 1916, British Forces introduced tanks in their defense (Anderson, 1). Thus, the trench of warfare was born with the advent of chemical warfare demonstrated at the perils. Although, the concept of the tank was suggested as early as the 1890s, few authorities showed interest in them until the trench stalemate of World War I caused serious contemplation of unending war and ever escalating casualties. Apart from these weapons, World War 1 carries different sea and airborne weapons used for the distance killing purposes. Submarines were used as a serious weapon of conflict during World War I. during the civil wars this technology was never tested since of its navel nature. Although the use of sbumarienes during World War 1 was commendable and became relatively sophisticated system with diesel power while another version with the surface battery power was introduced later (Griffiths, 130).

World War 2

In determining the outcomes of the World War II, one cannot forget the influential role of technology. Almost all type of modernized technology was part of this session of war. During the course of war, advance weaponry technology was used along with the required logistic support. Modern form of intelligence and communications were introduced during that period such as, remote sensing and espionage. Second World War again demonstrated a fusion of the machine and man as witnessed it World War 1. Military technology developments gradually spanned all over the industry and a new industrialization of mass weapon production were introduced in the end of World War II (Winn, 99). Mass armies and modernized rail road bought arms forces into action. They changed their dynamics of mobilization. Unlike industrial war, industrial revolution was complex and gigantic. Communication barriers were resolved by the introduction of new and modernized equipment by which breaking of codes were difficult nad impossible. Electronics eroded prominently in World War II (Nevins, 56). Prior to the war many devices were seen and tested, but evolution of radar and ASDIC proven they in the battle field. These were the additional equipment which are ...
