The nervous system is one of the most complex of our body and its study and analysis has continued since our Nobel laureate, Dr. Santiago Ramon y Cajal, to submit its findings on the neuron. The nervous system consists of neurons, which are the functional unit. Schematically the nervous system can be divided into several parts (Lehne, 2007):
