Conflict resolution in practice is mainly concentrated on the conflict taking place in society as if it was installed at the theater with an audience looking for relationships unfold. In realism, the conflict is played out behind the scenes, unnoticed by conflict analysts and systems developers. It is defined as resolution helps its members by means other than formal processes complaints, conducting investigations and trials (Kolb and Bartunek, 1992. P. 19). Arbitrators from the informal to the conflict have a significant impact on the organization or by resolution of the conflict or its direction to the formal mechanism. Informal conflict resolution often takes the irrational approach (Kolb and Bartunek, 1992, p. 20).
The central problem that can be seen in this case study is Carl Robins's negligence in following through with his responsibilities in an organized, comprehensive manner. Carl Robins had made arrangements for his new hires to come to the facility and have a training orientation; however, had not made the necessary arrangements or preparations for this orientation. The new recruitment files have not been properly obtained, files such as missing applications and missing transcripts, and none have had drug tests completed as well. There are not an adequate number of orientation manuals nor has he reserved the training room. Because of the situation presented within ABC, Inc., Carl Robins needs to have a solution in order to train the new employees in a timely manner so they can begin performing their duties. Background From the information provided, and intensive analysis and research, the problems clearly identified in this situation is the lack of attention to detail, poor organization, coordination, communication, planning, and dedication. After being instructed, with ample time for completion, of his duties of providing the orientation papers, manuals, policy booklets, training schedule, all of the new employee physicals, drug tests and other issues, Carl left till almost the last minute the verification of all these requirements. Because of the bad coordination and communication between Carl and Joe from technology services, the training room was not reserved for the correct time of the new employee orientation.
Not just that, the lack of attention to detail prevented him from realizing that there were some files missing in the employee's applications including personal requirement files. Carl Robins was not dedicated enough to the duties of his job. Also, he did not make any preventative arrangements to resolve any dire situations like these if one had presented itself. He had merely designated the beginning date of the orientation and verbally assured Monica Carrolls that everything would be arranged before the date of the trainee orientation; all of his other duties were poorly performed. Key Problems There are obviously several issues that have arisen from Carl Robins's lack of attention to details to complete these items even after being instructed by Monica Carrolls. These problems will be addressed individually by presenting the item that may be most detrimental to the company's success in completing this project ...
