Abstract

In this paper I will be discussing that the importance of strategy in an organization. Google has been chosen to do the research on strategies adopted by the organizations in this competitive world of economy. Google is one of the largest world leading organizations in the field of information technology. Google has an aim of organizing the world's information on one forum making it accessible to everyone easily. An organization generally comprises of two types of strategies; corporate strategy & business level strategy. Both strategies encompass different attributes keeping in view the business nature. Corporate strategy incorporates the whole business strategy that has been designed by the top management keeping in view their business nature and future protrusion. Similarly business level strategy includes strategy for every single business unit that depicts how it will be incorporated in the future. Both these strategies are of much importance to organization success. Management should continuously revise its strategies to cultivate organization progress and cope with market changes. Rapid action are expected from organization seeking to align with the building competition. Only those organizations are overseen to outrival in the future who gratify their customer, administer their set corporate or business strategy and earn gross profit.

Introduction

An organization is a social unit that works homogeneously on incessant basis to accomplish common set goals. We entitle it a social unit because it encompasses people or groups of people working collectively. All the limb of the organization is interlinked with each other through proper integration. Integration within the people and their activities is managed by the management. Integration plays a very imperative role for any organization. Therefore integration patterns are kept transparent to minimize redundancy and increase productivity.

Google is the world largest leading organization in the field of Information technology. The strength of the company can be measured it terms of its fast growth rate, high revenue returns, effective adoptability to innovation and most importantly its brand recognition in the whole world (Tapper, n.d).

Google has designed its organization structure in its own unique way. This design is kept unique to keep the exclusivity with perfection to drive out competitive edge in the market. Organizations in general are designed according to the business unit and need. Organization structure differs from region to region. Tasks are allotted to individuals according to the designed organization structure. In general, organization structure is divided into three main components: intricacy, formalization, and centralization. Intricacy clarifies the degree of specialism or differentiation between the workforces (Moran, 2012). A different level of hierarchy is observed in the organization. Formalization determines the tasks or errands that are assigned keeping in view employee level in the hierarchy. Centralization make out the path of ladder (top-bottom) to whom the employee is accountable. Google encompass its whole structure in these three components.
