The study is about the analysis of the business environment of Tesco. It provides an in-depth study about the responsibilities of the company towards its stakeholders. It also discusses the strategies being adopted by the company in order to increase the profitability. The study than shifts its focus towards the four types of the economic system, and impact of all four on the processes of the company, along with the allocation of resources. Then the study discusses about the government policies, and how it impacts the business of the company. This is followed by the impact of competition policy on the company. A self evaluation has also been done towards the end, on the basis of the entire research.

Introduction
This is a research paper which highlights the purposes of different kind of businesses. It will also underline the responsibilities and strategies used by a certain company of own choice, along with the impact these responsibilities and strategies on the overall business. The research paper further discusses the various types of economic systems, and also regulatory policies along with their impact on the chosen company's environment and activities, this part further highlights the OFT and competition of 1998, which further elaborates the impact. The research is conducted for the business department of the publishing company. Thus, professional approach has been followed throughout the entire research process.
Purpose of the Business
There are four different types of businesses, which includes sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, and franchising. All the businesses have their own purposes for which they run, details of which are mentioned below.
Sole Proprietorship
It is the most familiar form of businesses, where owner is any individual who wishes to start the business in a small setup. There is no such paperwork required in sole proprietorship. The main purpose of such kind of business is that individual either want to be solely responsible for the profits and losses suffer from the business, or also because it is independently being run by the owner himself. Then there is also the cost factor associated with the business. Not much of the capital is required for investment as compared to the other types of businesses.
Partnership
In partnership, the ownership is divided between two or more individuals. The number can be decided according to the regulations of the Partnership Act, 2002. The main purpose of the business includes sharing of capital, knowledge, and skills. People from various backgrounds along with their knowledge and capital create partnership among them.
