As individuals often differ in understanding and interpreting the world around them, so do the organizations. And in order to run the organization more successfully, these differences matter. Globalization has increased the need that organizations must identify these differences and plan efficiently to meet these diversities. For this purpose they need global leadership which is a value-addition to the traditional leadership styles. The issue of global leadership is the subject of numerous investigations and, increasingly, organizations are looking at what it takes to be an effective leader worldwide. While there is an immediate response, the research points to common themes. Many of them seek to understand what exactly the concept worldwide. According to Rogers and Blonski (2010, pp. 10) these leaders must have a global mindset, global business acumen and global citizen ship. In this paper the importance of global mindset in the context of global leadership is discussed.

In order to develop the leaders who can successfully and efficiently lead global operations, it is vital to the components which make them effective for diverse cultures. Research shows that the concept of effective leaders may change culture to culture and an effective leader of one culture may completely become incapable for another. Owing to this fact, global mindset has become an essential trait of a global leader. Global mindset is an ability to look beyond the boundaries of national culture, organization, corporate gain and functional responsibilities rather it is about envisioning the global success and communication of the ultimate contribution in sustain linty of the workforce and also the society as a whole.
Many international business leaders believe that a global mindset is desirable, but few know how instituting companywide. It is not that some managers think globally - that's the principle. The global mindset must be incorporated into each process, so that everyone knows how to handle the constant tension between corporate efficiency and the ability to respond locally. With the global mindset, the processes become more permeable to influences from other countries. Allows you to determine when a case requires a globally consistent response, a local adaptive response, or both. It is a prerequisite for motivating a diverse and dispersed workforce (Cohen, 2010, pp.3 - 10).
