IntroductionBreast cancer: what is it?

Cancer indicates the presence of abnormal cells that multiply uncontrollably. In the case of breast cancer, cells can remain in the breast or spread throughout the body via the blood or lymphatic vessels. Breast cancer is cancer that is most diagnosed cancer in women worldwide, both before and after the menopause. One woman in 9 women is expected to develop breast cancer during her lifetime, and 1 woman in 27 will die.

In most cases, breast cancer occurs after age 50. The number of patients increased slightly but steadily over the past 3 decades. This study examined the follow-up by nurse specialists in breast care and compared it to a doctor, concluded that there was no difference between groups in terms of satisfaction with care or professional ability of health care to identify anxiety and depression. However, these disclosures had no impact on skills for coping with the disease status mood or overall quality of life. Overall, there is a limited evidence to identify the components of the role of specialist nurses in breast care to have an impact on the quality of life of a woman. But it is recognized that the nature of their work, presented within a multidisciplinary team serves to complement the team as a whole rather than highlight only the impact of the nurse specialist in breast care. Further research is, however, necessary to address the impact that specialist nurses in breast care can have on aspects of quality of life of women with breast cancer.

Literature Review

Breast cancer is a highly aggressive malignant tumor due to its extraordinarily high potency of metastasis. Metastases are more frequent in the auxiliary lymph nodes - in 48-73.6%, then the supraclavicular - in 16-19%, and parasternal - in 2.4-15%.
