Abstract
A diagnosis of breast cancer is probably the most devastating news that a woman can hear. Breasts are a part of what makes a woman feel like a woman. The added thought of surgery and other cancer treatments plays with the psyche in general. Many people do not realize that pain and psychology go hand in hand. The psychological effects of breast cancer are a relationship of pain and how women are defined. Physical pain not only affects the body - it affects the mind. A woman can become depressed when treating pain associated with breast cancer treatment, especially since they can no longer participate in activities that once enjoyed. One major psychological effects of breast cancer occurs when a anticipated or not women lose their breasts. Even if they remain intact, they may wonder if it is complete after doctors have treated her, especially if she has a scar. Another psychological effect of breast cancer is like the cancer patient interacts with people close to her. She may feel like a victim in the eyes of friends and family. This feeling is worse if not treated with respect for others or if people avoid. It is common for a cancer patient to feel a sense of desire for intimacy loneliness. Declined is another of many psychological effects of breast cancer. A woman may actually have a lower libido due to treatment, or mental, you can close that part of her away because she may think that no man would want it that way. In this study we analyzed the psychological effects on Patients diagnosed or undergoing treatment for Breast Cancer and how does it affect quality of life.
