Bilingualism in Education
Many laws have been passed in the past regarding bilingualism, in the United States. Not many states were ready to accept bilingualism in education. Ohio was the first state that authorized a bilingual education law which allowed parents to get their children enrolled in German-English instruction. At the end of the 19th century, many states had authorized the same law and allowed many other languages.
