Background Information

The first experience of intervention with people with cardiac attack was in Hondarribia (Guipúzcoa). There, in a health and fitness company, and collaboration with the City, a fitness program was developed with a group of four people who had had cardiac attack. The objectives the program was to improve some parameters of health and other parameters quality of life of these people. After designing a protocol for action and specific program, we set out to conduct an intervention with women who wanted to participate in it (Holzer, Behringer, 2005).

After a talk on exercise and cardiac attack mama in the village of Hondarribia, we started working with women wanted to participate in the program, initially only wanted to participate four women currently taking part in the program twelve (Holzer, Behringer, 2005).

Theoretical Foundations

Cardiac attack is a major health problem in countries West over its high incidence and mortality. In the last twenty years, likely to develop cardiac attack in women in the Western world has increased from 1 out of 20 to 1 over 11. In terms of incidence, are the first tumor women with incidence rates ranging between 30 - 60 hundred thousand women. With regard to mortality, cardiac attack is the leading cause of death tumor in women, being the leading cause of death in women absolute 35 to 54 years. An estimated 2 of every 3 cardiac attacks may be due to lifestyle inadequate and therefore can be prevented. These behaviors may encourage the development of a cardiac attack are mentioned mainly three: the consumption of snuff, poor diet and sedentary lifestyle (Holzer, Behringer, 2005).

The degree of scientific evidence on the protective effect of physical activity is different depending on the type of cardiac attack. Cardiac attacks that are most susceptible present physical activity, and thus more can be prevented by following a active lifestyle are the colon, prostate, breast and endometrium (Hu, et al., 2001). According to the American National Centre for Disease Prevention Chronic and Health Promotion, regular physical activity can improve health heart disease, hypertension, obesity, diabetes, also reduces the risk of developing some cardiac attacks, reduce the states anxiety and depression, helps control body weight, development aid and maintaining bone mass, get the muscles and joints are healthier, improves strength, reduces the risk of falls in older people, and promotes psychological well-being (Hu, et al., 2001).

A sedentary lifestyle and poor physical condition are the risk factor most important mortality. Many published papers Epidemiological show that if we consider as a cause of cardiac attack death, men and women die less physically active because of this disease. Recently, a study published in the Journal Ongology Clinic is could demonstrate the beneficial effects of exercise on quality of life and functional capacity of these people. The study was conducted with 123 women cardiac attack in early stages. In other studies in patients with cardiac attack, plus psychological benefits, improvements could be observed also in some immunological parameters (Hu, et ...
