Title

“Critical Analysis of the Effectiveness of Strategies to Support Pupils with Behavioral Difficulties in Mainstream Primary Schools—A case study of Human Development Centre in Saudi Arabia.”

Aims and Objectives

To understand what is meant by Behaviour difficulties and how it its types and causes in 7 year old children;

To assess the interventions and strategies that had been designed to deal with Behavioral difficulties in the classroom environment, particularly pertaining to primary school children;

To consider the case of Human Development Centre in Saudi Arabia (which is especially designed for children with Behavior difficulties) to analyze the interventions for dealing with such children.

I decided to carry out this study because in every classroom setting, there are certain children who create problems and disturb the decorum of the class. Behavioral difficulties refer to an array of troubles. Its definition implies to the Behavioral difficulties that range from having trouble to adapt to the social norms to abnormal Behavior due to stress. These set of Behaviors are pertinacious and often constitute difficulties in learning. They may be more than one and may demonstrate themselves in various forms and Behaviors which are hard to endure. These set of Behavior come forth by acts of withdrawal, passiveness, aggression and self-hurtful inclinations.

This term is used in relation to children with unusual Behaviors or patterns of Behaviors expected by adults. Here it should be noted this distinction, because the Behavior of a subject can be read from different perspectives. (Damiani 2008, 255-296)

Thus, a child may behave better or worse depending on where he/she is evaluated. Arguably, children often say much more than they apparently say with their skills, as well as ways of behaving often depend on companies and areas where they thrive. (Clark & Peterson 2006, 12-1-26)

This is a serious problem because whenever a single child exhibits deviant Behavior in the classroom, other children are disturbed as well. Not only other children are disturbed because of a few children, but it becomes difficult for the teacher to take control of the classroom. Teachers all over the world are met with such problems and the gravity of the problem is very high, I think that there is a need for interventions and strategies to be designed in order to deal with children with Behavioral problems, so that teachers can impart and students can gain a wholesome learning experience.

The Perspective behind My Research

Teaching children who are 7 years of age is not an easy job. This is because teachers often have to come across different situations whereby it becomes quite difficult for them to deal with them. Such situations arise when children exhibit certain set of behaviors which requires some expertise to deal with. For instance, acts of disobedience, tantrums, negativism, and other acts to disengage oneself as well as others in the classroom, ...
