Abstract

The research paper is about the experiment conducted by Solomon Asch in 1951 until 1955, which laid a foundation to the study regarding the conforming having significant place in the individuals since they want to be accepted in the society and are more concerned that what other individuals thinks about them. The research was all about the participants were given a task to indicate that which of the comparison lines that are 1, 2 or 3 were the best match of the standard line in terms of length. The sample of 123 male students was selected from three different institutes of higher education. The experiment was lab experiment with controlled environments.The study shows that individuals followed the group even they know that the group answer is wrong since they believed that they might be the one who can be at fault as a majority is going with the other answer and the changes their judgments. The research paper further illustrates the ethical issues and the faults that were found in the experiment.

Introduction
