Article Review
Abstract
Effects of ethics training on the attitudes, knowledge-based scores, and office professionals' ability to solve ethical dilemmas have been explored in the study. Longitudinal research design was adopted in the study which data was gathered before training, immediately after, and 90 days after training.Reaction to the Article
The article generated a positive emotional response because it provided new dimensions of exploring the interconnected factors. It created a situation of surprise; unexpected strong impression that attracted the attention for exploring the learning process and how information is internalized relevant to the action. The article assimilates the knowledge that is highly significant in workplace.Article Analysis
Causal comparative research design has been used in the research to investigate the relationship between ethics training, attitude, knowledge-based scores, and the ability to analyze ethical dilemmas among office professionals. This article presents the findings of research in result analysis section. Results are supported through inferential statistical tests, which define the existence or absence of relation between variables. Analysis of data was done through statistical test to investigate the questions authenticity identified in the purpose section of the paper. These questions relate to investigate the relation with dependent variable before, after, and after an elapse of three months from the date of training workshop is conducted (Frisque, 2008). Following four explicit research questions have been are included in the research: 1. Is there a difference between before and after training scores on a scale measuring attitudes about identifying and handling ethical dilemmas?2. Is there a difference between before and after training scores measuring knowledge of a code of conduct?3. What differences exist between the participants' pre and post-training short-answer responses to ethical dilemmas?4. What is the perceived usefulness of training to participants before, immediately after, and ninety days following completion of training?
Work complexity depends on the person is performing the activity and capability of person to manage himself according to the work-setting. In this research, this group include office professional who are experiencing or have experienced ethical dilemmas at some point in time.
The need for new approaches in managing the ethical dilemmas in organization involves exploring the context and influencers that affect the capability of an individual to effectively deal with ethical issues. This has led to the conception of different models for the practical application of systems to manage ethical issues in organization (Wilkinson, 2009). Learning approaches can enhance the knowledge level of an employee. This involves using multiple training approaches to enhance the knowledge, skills, and changing the behavior of an employee. Conditional learning framework has been used in this paper that hypothesizes on information, cognitive strategies, intellectual skills, attitudes/behaviors, also consider the impact of external and internal training process on a person's capabilities.
Key concepts of the research domain have been operationalized through categorization of research concepts into variables. The context of these arguments highlight the importance of the investigating the attitude and knowledge level of office professional and to what extent their cognitive capacity is enhanced to manage themselves ...
