“Improving Public Confidence in the Criminal Justice System: An Evaluation of a Communication Activity”
Introduction to the Article
Criminal Justice is a complex domain of international law and judiciary. Justice refers not only to judicial guarantees granted to citizens of most countries, but also a just reprisal for victims of crime, for example, an offender incarcerated. Criminal justice is always a goal. In this study, we try to explore the concept of “Criminal Justice” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Criminal Justice” and its relation with “Communication” that ultimately restores Public Confidence in the law enforcement agencies and bodies. The research also analyzes many aspects of “Criminal Justice” and tries to gauge its effect on “Communication”. Finally, the research describes various factors, which are responsible for “Criminal Justice” and tries to describe the overall effect of “Criminal Justice” on communication with public.

This research article aims to address the following two research questions:
How actual information about the Criminal Justice System (CJS) does restore peoples' confidence?
Is information about CJS essential for people and how does it contributing towards their confidence in law enforcement mechanisms in the country?
Describe the design, of the study
The design of this study is very systematic and organized around the theme of the topic. It aimed to establish the fact that increasing public awareness about criminal justice mechanisms results in their confidence and security about the law enforcement system in the country. A booklet was designed containing relevant materials on criminal justice system and was distributed to over 2000 members of the public in three different ways. Knowledge of, and attitudes toward, the CJS tested before and after receipt of the booklet and the results compared with a control group.

The research study takes into focus two broad levels of questions. There can be significant inductive and deductive logic found in the paper. It aims to establish the levels of confidence associated with criminal justice system in a broad context. Firstly, it aims to define how the actions of informing, persuading and reminding the people about criminal justice system can make a difference in increasing their knowledge and orientation for the topic. Secondly, it aims to describe how the general public restores their levels of knowledge about criminal justice systems based on the distribution of a booklet that was designed to inform them about the justice practices.
