Introduction:

The main reasons that lead to failure of the initiatives are includes the idea scenario, some time the management, unable to manage the people involved and inappropriate plan actions and targets set with unrealistic deadlines. Some time the strategies formulated are best but as it's not implemented properly leads to failure. Not only this, but sometime the best implemented strategies failed due to inappropriate controlling.

Every year, investments of trillions of dollars are wasted in the world by the failure of IT projects. In most cases, the errors which determine the failure of initiatives are taking place at the planning stage, but they are only perceived in the course of implementation of proposed actions - because it is the moment when the results come up.

Much of this scenario is due to the fact that at the time of drafting the strategy of the projects, those involved in the initiative did not adequately analyze how external factors may influence the outcome of the action.

Microsoft's “Kin” phones are called back from the market within just two months.  The phones were designed for the younger market and also for those who are addictive users of social networking sites.  In spite of the price being cut in half, uninspiring sales are reported.  Cost of the project is undisclosed.

While we found a slight craze for these mini smart phones, Microsoft has announced a complete termination of production. There is no official reason, but sales in the United States would have been extremely low...

Just two months ago Microsoft released Kin, a proposed mobile phone in two models focus on social life through the integration with the networks most used today. Although at first glance looked like it might be successful among the young the end result has been one of the greatest failures of the Redmond Company.

As if you look at the figures we will see how expensive it has come to Microsoft this error: after an estimated cost of 1000 million dollars to launch the phone in the end it sold just 500 units, which leads at a cost of 2 million per unit sold. True, looking a little terminal we could get an idea that would not have much future: the operating system is not expected Phone Windows 7, but have opted for a Windows CE system closed, where you cannot install applications and integration of social networking is done through small widgets that do not cover all functionality.
