It owns a fleet of 44 Russian planes (IL-62, TU-154, AN-24, YAK- 40, and YAK-42, plus several FOKKER-27s used for in-country flights) with a total of 4,202 seats and the capacity to carry 470 tons of air freight. In supplement to the Russian fleet, the airline has leased some DC- 10s. Currently, half of Cubana's international passengers fly on the DC-10s. (Thomas 2009)
