In the past twenty years, nursing has been evolving around as an interesting filed that is yet to be explored. The recent clinical practices and initiatives taken by the nurses are primarily focused on the thorough research and background work to provide better care services to patients. The practice development is becoming the focus of the health department and the respective institutions to appreciate nurses to take initiatives to improve their diabetes services and help the patients live a quality life.
The increasing demand for practice development inclined us to provide with the issues that can be undertaken by the nurses as part of their practice. The clinical evidence is used to support the findings of the study and the outcomes are also evaluated of the initiatives taken by the nurses.

Introduction
The paper is aimed at addressing the issues that nurses could address in their practices. The paper provides the explanation backed by the evidence of the way initiatives were undertaken. A brief discussion of the encountered problems is also provided to support the future practices in the field. Finally, it provides the evaluation of practice and its produced outcomes.
In UK, diabetes is one of the most common chronic disorders that have affected people of nearly all age groups. The statistics indicate that one in every ten senior residents of UK has diabetes, and it is the disease that increases with age. According to the figures of the WHO, the number of people with diabetes across the globe was doubled during the time frame of 1995-2010 (www.diabetes.org.uk).
The provision of diabetes services seems to be complex, a wide range of professionals are providing care including the diabetes patients and their carers. The diabetes care is aimed at enabling the people with diabetes to live a quality life and achieve life expectancy similar to that of the general population (www.diabetes.org.uk).
Practice development is the phenomenon that has been transforming the delivery of care for all the people and parties who are engaged in it. The concept has become of tremendous value to the public health and patient care, and it is observed that its purpose is matched to the central issues within the NHS reform policies (www.bournemouth.ac.uk). Advanced nursing has been moved by the pillars of practice beyond the purely clinical domain that exposes one to the wider arena of the total meaning and delivery of nursing (Barton, 2012, p. n.d).
Method
The research is based on the qualitative and the quantitative analysis of the audit undertaken by the nurses. The data was collected on the importance of the practice development and the clinical research with the objective to suggest ways of improving the diabetes services provided by the nurses. The nurses are the best source to become aware of the patient care; hence, the first hand data collected by us was comprised of the views and responses collected by the nurses who are working in different nursing homes of the UK (Collins, 2006, ...
