Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of “Role of Government in a Country's Success” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Role of Government” and its relation with “Country' Success”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “the government” and tries to gauge its effect on “country's success”.

Introduction

A country's success is measured by the stability of social and economic system of a country. There are various factors that affect the development of a country and there are also certain forces which regulate and operate these factors in order to result in the favor of a country. The role of government is considered vital in the success of a country. It is very important for the government of a country to take effective measures for social and economic development of a country to lead that country to the path of success. In this era of globalization, it is not easy for a country to be successful in the world, various factors are taken into consideration and many external forces around the world have to be tackled in order to make a country successful in the world (Grindle, 2007, pp. 58). Leading a country to the path of success could only be possible on the basis of good and intelligent governance.

Role of Government in the Success of a Country

The success of a country mainly depends upon its government. The functions and activities of the government of any country influence its path to success in the world. There are many variables that are related with the success of a country. A country will be considered to be a successful country in the world if its unemployment rate is less, poverty rate is less and its economic situation is good. The government has to take necessary steps and make policies to boost the economy of a country and decrease unemployment rate and poverty rate in the country (Medema, 2005, pp. 79).

The government should take preventive measures to eliminate corruption from the country. It is obvious that a government has authority and makes laws and regulations to maintain law and order in the country but the government should also be aware that government representative should not be involved in any illegal act or act of corruption. The government should emphasize on creating and maintaining a good education system in the country top make the country successful in the world. In this era of globalization, it is very important for a country to have educated people to represent the country in the world. If a country will have educated people, then the country would also have a higher employment rate and as a result, poverty will also be reduced to a great extent. The government should plan proper finance policies to invest in education portfolios and establish educational institutes where more and more children and people would be educated to contribute to the country's economy when they get respectable jobs ...
