Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of “the works of Isaac Newton” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Newton major works” and its relation with “science”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “Newton major works” and tries to gauge its effect on “science”. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for “Newton major works” and tries to describe the overall effect of “Newton major works” on “science”.

MAJOR WORKS OF ISAAC NEWTON

Introduction

Isaac Newton was born on December 25, 1642. His father had already died some three months after his birth. When he got to the age of three, his mother wedded again with someone else and left him in the attention of his grandmother. Some researchers believed that Newton was suffering from the Asperger's Syndrome.

When he got to an age of eighteen, he took admission in the Cambridge University, because he was not concerned at all about the farm, which belonged to his family. When he was attending the university, he got the post of Fellow of Trinity College and Professor of Mathematics in the year 1669. He also got selected as a Member of the Parliament of the Cambridge University in the Parliament convention of the year 1689 and fought again in the year 1701-1702. After his graduation, he went back to handle his family farm. The experts believe that Newton made many of his crucial breakthroughs during the period of 1669-1701. He became the President of the Royal Society in the year 1703. He also managed to be selected as a member of the legislature, England in the year 1701.

We build too many walls and not enough bridges." Isaac Newton

The Philsosphiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica, which was published in the year 1687, which was a masterpiece of Isaac Newton, is said to be the most cogent book in the chronicle of the scientific discipline. This book not only explicated the ambits of the celestial consistencies in mathematical terms, but also helped the scientists recognize the force that made these bodies move in the first place i.e. gravity. Just in this way, Newton explicated how every apparent motion in the galaxy occurred.

According to Dr. Kevorkian (1999), “It isn't enough for Newton that during his eighty-five years on Earth he invented calculus, codified and quantified the laws of gravity, motion and optics, and designed the first reflecting telescope.”

NEWTON'S TELESCOPE

Newton is frequently conceived to be the biggest Mathematician and Astronomies, who had ever lived. Telescope was one of the biggest inventions of Isaac Newton. A telescope (Reflector) is one that makes use of a reflector instead of the lenses to curve light and amplify the images. These reflecting telescopes are remarkably easy to manufacture, and they can be manufactured in many variable sizes. This is an innovation of Newton, which has altered the concept of astronomy and our comprehension of ...
