Introduction

Are the terrorists crazy? Are they evil? Do they not care about the innocent lives they take when they attack places and people? These are a few of the many questions which prevail in the minds of many people. The activities of terrorists have made people think that their behavior is abnormal. Answering the above mentioned questions need an understanding of the minds of these terrorists. Once we get to know the psyche of the people we call terrorists, we will be able to not only understand them better, but also be able to certainly take them away from the acts they perform. The question will be answered using personal rational as well as by studying the article mentioned next. The article to be reviewed in this paper is The Terrorist Mind II. Typologies, Psychopathologies, and Practical Guidelines for Investigation by Laurence Miller. The purpose of the review of this article is to understand the nature of terrorists, their psychopathologies, their typologies and essentially their minds so that we may be able to understand the rationale behind their terroristic behavior.

Literature Review

The article throws light essentially on the typologies and the psychopathologies of the terrorists. It also throws light on the factors which turn a man into a terrorist. The writer also observes that it is a general notion that terrorists attack innocent people, but we hardly know if the killed were innocent or not. Secondly, it is an accepted fact on the part of the forces that when they attack a militant group or a person, a lot of innocent people get killed along the way.
