ABSTRACT

Employability skills, the major idea behind is that these are behaviours, attributes, and skills, which are crucial for employees to efficiently handle jobs, careers, and maintain successful employment in their career. The purpose of this study is to outline whether there is a positive relationship between certain employability skills of graduates and the possibilities of these skills leading to employment of managerial positions. Therefore, the aim of this study is to find out if there is a relationship between effective skills in order to get high positioned jobs for graduates. The researcher had applied a triangulation research methodology, which involved questionnaire survey, interview analysis, and secondary data analysis. The interview analysis showed that analytical, problem solving skills, decision-making, communication, teamwork, conflict management, and adaptability and change management attributes were the most important employability skills. The questionnaire survey showed that students do not have strong employability skills, which was supported from findings from the CBI survey.
