Executive Summary

The paper provides a formal reply in business letter format to Mrs. Robertson, the mother of Jessica Robertson. She made a complaint that her daughter reported to her upon returning from school that in 3rd hour in Computer class on Monday, she saw Porno images on big screen on projector. In the reply to the mother, Super Indent assured her that a strict action shall be taken and that none of the action will ever happen again in the class. Thus was in the knowledge of the Principal, and not reported before or else an action would have been taken against it.

After observing the case it is apparent that Ms. Paully Paulson was a replacement teacher of a permanent positioned Computer teacher, who suddenly fell severely ill. However, it was noticed before that Ms. Paully Paulson is not able to handle the class and when she is giving individual attention to the student, the rest of the class gets out of control. Yet, Ms. Paully Paulson was given adequate evaluation marks.

The in depth analysis makes it clear that if Super Indent did not take her classroom management difficulties seriously as it should have been. In spite of noticing an ill behavior, none action was taken. If Super indent have taken action before, then none of such undesirable incident have occurred. To some extent, it can be indicated that Principal failed to guide and provide instruction to the teachers. Ms. Paully Paulson was a new teacher, thus it was Principal's and Super Indent's responsibility to give instructional supervision to her and keep her under strict observation. Despite knowing her faults, she was not corrected, thus Ms. Paully Paulson alone cannot be held responsible for the incident that happened in the class. However, there was negligence on both parts of Ms. Paully Paulson and the Super Indent.

Ms. Paully Paulson may not get sacked over this issue. However, a warning may be issued to the computer teacher for misconduct in the class and shall be put on probation until principal and Super Indent is not satisfied with her performance after several observations. In addition to this, to ensure that any such similar incident must not happen again, the internet connection shall be disconnected from the computer to safeguard the class from pornographic images.

It can be concluded that upon evaluation of the teacher, Principal must have been more vigilant and strict. None of the incident would have occurred if the teacher had been under graded on evaluation and then she would have been under complete supervision. Even though it was known to the Principal that Ms. Paully Paulson was not efficient in managing the class, still she was not warned even once to control the matters before it gets out of hands. Ms. Paully Paulson needs a professional training and development to reach to a level where she can easily handle a class of more than 20 students.
