Introduction

It is usually seen that people widely believe on witchery craft and have faith on zombies (the unnatural power that does not exist). It is a reanimated human corpse that eats the flesh of humans. There are different stories originated from the spiritual belief system of Afro-Caribbean of voodoo. These fables were deeply influenced by the great sorcerer. This new culture is widely known in the modern horror fiction which portrays the dead walks and feeds human tissues. Zombie is the branch of natural science which is called Zombology. According to the dictionary of Merriam-Webster, the term Zombie has derived from Haitian Creole. In the culture of Creole, zombie presents the dead body which bring back into the life without any spell.

Discussion

It has been noticed that Zombies have widely gained fame from the time of late 19th century, especially in the continent of America. The believers of Zombie belong from Voodoo, who states that a dead body can be revived by magic spells. They believe that after the revival of the dead body, zombie will be under the control of the magician and they will not have their own willpower. Different novels, such as Frankenstein ignores this philosophy and explains that how after the creation of zombie he demands another female zombie for his company. Zombie is also considered as Voodoo snake god. The concept of Zombie also exists in various cultures such as Japan, Persia, China, Arabs and the pacific India.

Modern zombies as portrayed in films, books and games are bit different form the zombies of Voodoo. The movie “Night of the Living Dead” is the depiction of modified zombies. Ghouls are exposed as senseless monsters who have an immense appetite of human fleshy tissue and who do not feel pain. They only have one interest; to kill, infect and eat people. Contemporary zombies usually compared to disastrous creators where civilization could fall down due to an outbreak of the undead. The background sound of the zombie movies is very horrible as it gives the effects of true horror. It thrills the heart of the audience who eventually has the perception of the zombie's existence. There are elementary beliefs regarding zombie which cannot justify with the connection of other beliefs in the world.
