The aquatic centre was tagged as being the conqueror of the entire architectural competition way before the London Olympic bid was closed. In spite of the prolific cost and constant overruns of the budgets, the project went ahead with full gears. It was identified as the iconic building that would present the “wow factor” by giving memorable identity to the games. The efforts of Zaha Hadid resulted in immensely and extremely telegenic and spectacular interiors. The striking appearance due to distinctive architecture provides the intuition of a superbly done organic creation because of its faultless synchronization between the whole ensemble and every detail in part.
