Introduction

The main purpose of this paper is to make an analysis on the different aspects of youth justice which have changed since 1997 in an innovative and unique manner. Youth is considered to be one of the most significant stages in the life of a human being. A person wants to get indulge in all the activities and tries to experience every adventure in the youth stage. However, there are some hindrances for the youth for the purpose of developing the emotional and spiritual stability. At one side the contributions of a person at the youth stage can be very beneficial for the society; on the other hand some criminal and illegal activities can astray him towards doing the good deeds. This evil of the society can be make him a culprit and lead him towards the illegal acts. Youth crimes are considered to be the most important factor in the social breakdown. The main factors of the youth crime are disturbed family relationships, lack of self-esteem, poverty, educational failures, unemployment, and extreme depression. These are the main factors that take a young person towards the crimes and ends up in the youth justice system (Bala, 2002, p. 37). The main aim of the youth justice system is to save the young generations from any kind of crime. Thus, the youth justice system which is prevailing these days is not enough to provide the framework that can save the young people from the social evils and save them from going to a wrong path. The law and order system in United Kingdom is very appreciable; still the youth justice system incorporates many faults in it. It cannot be confidently said that the youth justice system of United Kingdom helps in bringing people to a righteous path. The young offenders in United Kingdom are not provided the fair rehabilitation facilities. Therefore, there is a great need that youth justice should provide the rehabilitation facilities to the young offenders in United Kingdom for the purpose of providing them a perfect and constructive life style. In United Kingdom, the concept of Youth Justice System has been brought into effect after the World War II as per the applied philosophy of that time. Thus, this criminal justice system was not a perfect system. The confusion and puzzling started on the concept of dual image delinquency with the initiation of Criminal Justice Act in 1948. Even in that time, the youth justice system had the aim to punish the youth for their crime and at the same time providing them the best educational facilities which can help them in coming back to a righteous life. Before the 19th century, the law treated the young offenders' equivalent to the adults. There were no separate courts for the young offenders in England.
