Introduction

In we analyze the history of the WTO and GATT; not many issues have attracted much sustained attention and controversy as the vital issue of dumping and an appropriate response this perceived unfair business practice.Due to a drastic reduction in tariff and non-tariff barriers in successive GATT rounds; an increased number of WTO members i.e. developing countries are looking into the anti-dumping practices as an attractive alternate to protect their local markets.
