Introduction

Any armed, organized conflict, which is usually for a longer duration between different countries, nations and states, is known as War. It is characterized by the social and political conflicts, enormous aggression and high death rate. This also explains as violence on the legislative grounds. It must be understood as a deliberate and widespread, premeditated violence. The warfare is a process, a method or set of techniques by which the war is carrying out. The absence of widespread violence is known as the time of peace.

The Great War also known as the World War 1 started on July 28, 1914 and ended on November 11, 1918. The war was between two groups fighting for and against each other. These groups were comprised of all greatest powers of the world. The origin of the World War 1 was Europe the Allies group comprised of Russia, England and France whereas, the other group, the Central Powers, focused initially on Austria-Hungary, Germany and Italy. Later the Italy did not fight for the Central powers, and both groups had to reorganize themselves, Italy however, fought for the Allies afterwards. The groups were strengthening as more countries joined the war. In the end, approximately 70 million military men who include approximately 60 million of the Europeans that were gathering for the fight in one of the world's biggest wars in record.

It caused the death of almost 9 million soldiers / fighters as there were great advances in the firepower technology which was not in accordance with the mobility advances. Being the number six in the ratings of the world's deadliest conflicts history, it made it easy for the nations to have great political advancements like the revolutions in the countries that were involved.

Discussion

The important powers of Europe, in 19th century, had worked in detail to keep the balance of authority and power in the entire European region. This caused a network of complex alliances in the region of both military and political nature by the 1900s. However, these alliances failed due to a variety of reasons and cause many conflicts between different countries / nations.

Causes of World War I

Rather than a clear explanation, World War 1 has been a very complicated matter. The actual cause behind the World War One is still debatable and subject to discussions and arguments, though there has been a series of situations and events that said to have cause the war. There have been the following known causes of the War:

Mutual Defense Alliances

Before the World War I, the countries in the European region signed separate agreements of mutual defense. This meant that of any country is attacked by an outside source the allied countries would support and fight with the victimized nation, thus attack one and others will be pull into the war automatically.
