Introduction

The Second World War was the greatest armed conflict and the most violent war in the human history. Nevertheless, it now separates us from that conflict that has a negative impact on our collective knowledge. Although World War II continues to absorb the interest of scientists and military historians, as well as its veterans, a generation of Americans has grown to maturity largely unaware of the social, political, and military in the war, more than any other, united us with a common purpose (Carroll, 1942).

Highly relevant today, World War II had much to teach, not only about the profession of arms, as well as military preparedness, global strategy, and combined operations in the coalition war against fascism (Colin, 1983).

Thesis Statement

This paper discusses the bombing of Pearl Harbor, its causes and effects. The paper would also discuss the relevance and effects it has on today's world.

Cause and Effect

On December 7, 1941 which was historically known as "The Day of Infamy”. The attack on Pearl Harbor changed the world's future until then. Just a little before 08.00 am, a fleet of Japanese planes approached without notice to the U.S. naval base, and there it all began. The fierceness of Japanese fire caused the collapse of half the boats were in the naval base at Pearl Harbor. The attack did not last long, but it was forceful and effective. Two thousand U.S. Marines were killed in the attack, and more than 1200 injured. Planes, ships and other American teams were damaged severely, United States declared a war on Japan, however, knowing the thought and character of Americans, the attempt was futile, and ended up causing the opposite effect (Paul, 1961).
