Introduction

In the context of the contemporary global business environment the European consumes market can be defined as one of the most prominent and influential entities. The population of this regain has access to significant financial resources, hence making it a prime consumer market for the multinational organization (Mayer & Gavin, 2005, pp. 879). It is due to this reason that the company XYZ has chosen the UK consumer market as it primary target region. In the long-term perspective the brand would be developed for the entire European region, and hence a considerable part of the strongest gable market would be captured. Out of the five potential markets that could have been potential chosen for the initial operational activity, the UK region represents the ordeal and the most feasible option, and it would be a relevant initial market in which a European scale brand can be launched. In this organizational entity operational in the UK consumer market I would assume the responsibility of the strategic human management functions, and would also ensure that the Company XYZ is able to develop a substantial sales function and a strong brand.

Task 1.1: Job Description & Specification

As a strategic human resource manager the construction of the job description and specifications can be identified as the most significant task. The job description refers to the activities and tasks that a person would be performing in the personal capacity, hence the potential employee with the complete details regarding his/her professional requirements from the job position, and the job specification on the other refers to the qualifications and the credentials of the employee, in order to adequately perform the job description. These two documents help the organization strategize the human resource objectives and ensure that the most qualified individuals are hired in the organizational network (Abrahamson & Eisenman, 2008, pp. 726). In developing these documents I would ensure that I critically analyze the long and short term sales objectives of the company and the commitment to the quality HR function.

Be able to communicate with the employees on a positive and a constructive manner.

Build sustainable and long term relations with the clientele.

Coordinate with the management regarding the sales trends and consumer behavior.

Work with the consumer base and resolve any dilemmas experienced by them.

Develop a strong communication network within the industry so as to develop new leads and potential sales enquire.

Conduct every professional task with appropriate ethical and moral integrity.

Develop sales pitch presentations with the input of the management, and present to the interested consumers.

As it is a performance based job, the employees have to conduct a self analysis process, and seek to continuously enhance their performances.

Enhance the consumer awareness regarding the complete product range of the company and develop a strong brand image.
