Questionnaire Analyses

A healthy job is consisted of pressures which are appropriate with the abilities and capabilities of employees, the considerable extent of controlling on their work and the continuous support from the people who matter to them. Pressure in the organisations is inescapable since, it is the demand of present-day work surroundings. Employees receive pressure and accept it which keeps them alert, motivated torts their tasks and enhance their personal learning skills. On the other hand, extreme pressures which are unmanageable lead to the conditions of stress which is responsible for not only damaging the health of employees but also affect the performance of organisations. The business statistics of the United Kingdom has reported that approximately 13% of the employees among different organisations are suffered from work related stress (Paton, 2004).

With respect to this, the present dissertation study utilised 20 samples of questionnaires, which were distributed among the debt collector employees of Home Loan Management (HML) in Skipton. The analyses of questionnaire were presented different findings regarding to the occupational stress which were analysed in the light of occupational stress among the employees of HML. First of all, the first question of the questionnaire was about the age related information of employees. Since, most of the employees were placed in the age group of 30-35 years and contributed 6% which was the highest age indication among employees. While the rest of the respondents were found in the age groups such as 2% for 18-23 years old, 5% for 24-29 years, again 5% for 36-41 years and 2% for 42-51 years. The study showed no presence of individuals above 52 years in the HML. There were both males and females working in the organisation and thus, the questionnaire was made to cover the employees which were related to the debt collection department at HML. It had been observed that females were also the part of debt collection team and the next question of the questionnaire thus, demonstrated the females' workers in the department and surprisingly majority of the respondents were females about 13% and males about 7% in the debt collection department.

Another important observation with respect to the HML workforce was that the firm offered part time job opportunities in different departments and debt collection department was one of them where part time workers were available for their services to the firm and clients. The next questionnaire finding was about the distribution of part time workers and thus, full time employees were accounted for 15% and part time employees were about 5% in the debt collection department at HML.
