Executive Summary

The report provided in this paper has been designed with the scope of project kept in mind. The report is not only a completion report but also highlights the progress developed in the course of time spent with the firm and the learning developed with the project. The report introduces itself with an overview of what actually is the idea behind generating the report, the report proceeds and signifies the aims and objectives which were kept in mind before joining the project. The project then further states the purpose of the project. Report in its second section defines the key attributes expected from the report and continues to define the technical aspects of the components used for the project. The report not only describes the products in such a fashion so that the users learning is visible but also highlights the mechanisms of installing the products to further establish the fact that the writer has learned the key outcomes expected from him. The report further graphically and theoretically represents how work was divided in the 12 weeks of the project. Each week will be giving the details what was learnt and how it was learnt?

Work Placement Report

Introduction

Every engineering firm has a monitoring system to investigate the processes going in their field. Nowadays homes and small scale business units also incorporate small scale business units to prevent burglary, theft and internal cheats. The best solution to these processes has been usage of information technology to investigate these processes. Similarly, air conditioning offices and homes is a common procedure prominent in these days, but to efficiently control all these activities without much human intervention we use monitoring and sensor based systems. These sensor based systems are developed by the use of C - Bus, CCTV, air - conditioners and most importantly electrical wires to use them.

Purpose of the Project

The purpose of the project was to provide maintenance and monitoring solutions to the electrical and electronic works of the company. The project work was intended to provide robust solutions which will monitor the fields of electrical and electronic activities. The project is intended to not only provide monitoring but also facilitate with the optimum temperature by maintaining a centrally air conditioned environment (Warne, 2005).
