Abstract

This paper will be discussing the work Experience on industrial operations. We will be providing a brief introduction to the company we are discussing. The company we are discussing in the assignment is Al-Qahtani Pipe Coating Industries. This company is known as a leader in the industry, the Kingdom has witnessed major developments in the pipeline industry. To meet the demands of the harsh environment and for protection of cross-country and sub-sea oil, water and gas pipelines against corrosion the Al-Qahtani Pipe Coating Terminal was established in 1954. Since those early days when coat and wrap were used, the Company has rapidly moved to new technological advantages available today and has three coating plants in the Kingdom equipped with the latest coating techniques.

Introduction

Performing the Work Experience at one of the Saudi Arabia's largest company of renewing pipes by several methods depending on the type of climate the pipe is going to be used in. The company is known as Al-Qahtani Pipe Coating Industries. Al-Qahtani Industry certified TUV NORD ISO 9001 and provides other services such as, Coating, Painting and joining 2 pipes by flowing the ISO, BS, SSPC and NACE Specification and Standards. This report will discuss the processes of each kind of service provided by the company in the fields that I have worked in during my work experience period in the summer holiday as well as an over view of the company.

An overview of the company

The Al-Qahtani Industry is established by Sheikh Abdel Hadi who is one of the top commercial and industrial groups in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in early fifties and pioneered the pipe coating industry in the kingdom and Middle East. This company has lost of other products and services. Implements the latest technology for four decades. Since then, the company moved to the forefront of technological innovation, and today is the largest installation of the housing and technologically advanced in the world.
