Women Issues

Introduction to the topic

It is the reality today that women have become as important as men. They are contributing in every walk of like. For instance, they are doctors, professors, engineers, etc. But the movement towards this success was not a matter of one day. It took a long time for women to prove their competency, capability, and skills that they are equally important and essential for the fiscal and social advancement of the world, as men. In the past age, it was believed that women are only for marriages and to look after the home and children (Harding, 1987). Such theories and practices led to the violation of women rights and their abuse. It was the courage and hard work of women themselves that they proved their self as they are today. There is a need to create awareness and raise the voice against such injustice. However, if we talk about the advanced countries like U.S., U.K., etc. we come to know that there are some serious problems and issues that are confronted by women. Although these issues are general in nature but they need proper attention and need to be resolved on the priority basis (Dill & Zambrana, 2009).

Apart from these general problems there are some specific problems that are confronted by the women after their marriages. These issues are identical in nature not for all women but for majority of them. In this paper we will analyze and raise such issues that are common and serious for women after their marriage.
