Women in Progressive Era

Introduction

The Progressive Era is the name given to a period in the history of the United States ranging from years 1890 to 1920, although it is sometimes more narrowly associated with years of Presidency of Theodore Roosevelt (1901-1909). They were denied the right to vote through most of the period. This paper explores the role played by women in the Progressive Era, and assesses the benefits that women got from these reforms.
