WIRELESS CHARGING SOLUTION

Launch of Wireless Charging Solution

Launch of Wireless Charging Solution

Introduction

Emerging technology of cellular telephone was introduced in 1980's commercially. Since the age of cellular technology's advent, it has been experiencing a continuous increment in the number of its users. The size of the initial cellular technology used to be huge because of its large sized circuitry and battery. These large integrated circuits required huge quantity of power for charging purpose which caused large sized batteries (Harrist, 2001, Pp.1-3). With the development of the technology, the size of the cellular telephones began to shrink because of the decrement in the size of batteries as well as in the size of circuitry. New material's combinations have made the batteries last longer and smaller. These batteries are rechargeable and consumes small amount of power. The charging of the batteries creates a problem and user is required to charge his or her phone with the charger by plugging in the wall. Wireless charging is the solution to this problem which is being implemented in current age of technology (Harrist, 2001, Pp.1-3).

Problem Statement

As the use of mobile phones has been increasing due to the development in internet technology, the recharging of the batteries of the mobile phones is becoming a problem which can be resolved through wireless charging. Launch of the wireless charging solution is the goal of our company but marketing strategy is the main challenge for our company. The paper identifies the market need for wireless charging technology. Moreover, competitors and target market has also been described in the paper (Prabhu, 2012, Pp.1-4).

Discussion and Analysis

Situation Analysis

The South East of the United Kingdom will be suitable location for targeting the customers because it is highly dense area as shown in the figure below. Market need would be the main factor for considering the launching of wireless charging technology effectively. There are already two competitors present in that region which are offering wireless charging technology to the customers. Thus, marketing strategy will play an effective role in achieving the target of the company.
