Wind energy also known as the wind power, is the energy that is derived by harnessing the kinetic force of the wind and then converting it into the electricity. It is one of the potential alternative energy and is obliged as the future energy. Wind power is considered as an alternative source of fossil fuel as it is abundant, widely distributed, clean and does not produce green house gas emissions and uses little land. Now days', excluding the hydropower, wind energy is the most significant than alternative energies. From the rebirth of the Wind Energy in the era of 1980's, the increase in the development of the wind energy has been spectacular (Turner, 1999, 687). Wind energy works upon the straightforward concepts in which wind force rotates the cutting edges of a wind turbine and so the rotation of these blades offers power to the generator that produces electricity. The facts and the advantages of the wind energy are unlimited as well as environmental friendly resource of energy justifies a particular state. This research is based on the following question: Wind energy replaces fossil fuels in the decades to come?

Advantages & Disadvantages of Wind Energy
Wind energy has many advantages and the most important is that it is renewable and is infinite. It is friendly to the environment as fossil fuels are not burnt to electricity from wind energy. The kinetic energy which is already there in the wind may be effectively converted into the electrical energy. Even though the wind energy does is not able to meet the energy requirements as a whole it may improve other modes of the electric power, hence informal to the decline for the much reliance on the fossil fuels (Burton, 2005, 34). Wind energy is clean as the turbine power plants do not produce any of the green house gases as well as there is no production of the waste materials. Moreover, the wind turbines are much feasible and easy to create, use and maintain. Even though the wind turbines require huge areas of land, the land underneath may be use for the purposes like cattle ranching and farming. The graph below shows that the capacity of world wind predicted till 2010 was increased to 160,000MW (Anne, 2010, 568).

Regardless of being an efficient alternative energy resource, it is also lacks certain ways. Wind energy is indefinite but is also considered as an alternate energy source. As a result of the low competence feature of the wind turbine plants, particularly in the low wind areas, the practical power yield is unpretentious. Resourceful supply of wind power electrical energy needs stable wind drafts so wind turbine power plants are mostly appropriate along coastlines as well as plains. Mostly the sites where the turbine is installed are at distance from the residential ...
