ABSTRACT

The leaders are considered to be the pillar of the organizations that play significant role in developing it by making use of different qualities of their personality. These qualities are usually possessed by the leaders by improving their organizational skills in order to fulfil the organization's aims and objectives in an effective manner. The leaders are required to play an important role at each step of the organizational functions in order to benefit the organization from his interpersonal effective qualities. The leaders are the important source for the organizational development and by implementing their ideas within the organizations, they can make the company successful in the long run. The business operations of the organizations are largely dependent on the leaders that the company has been operating under. All these facts have been stated within the past literature on the leadership theories. However past studies carried out on the leadership theories have been pin pointing various characteristics of the leaders and does not rely on a single characteristic. Thus it can be said that there is not agreement on a single leadership theory on the academic side.
