Universal healthcare is referred to coverage of universal health, social health protection or universal care. It describes healthcare systems that provide a particular scheme of benefits to every member of the society with the objective of providing protection against financial risk, better access to health care services, and better health results. This concept of universal healthcare is not a fit for all concept neither it does imply coverage for every person of the society. Universal healthcare is determined by three different angles i.e. who is covered under that program, what services are to be provided to them and last but not the least how much of the cost factor is covered (Stuckler, et. al., 2010).

Every country and jurisdiction has its own planning regarding healthcare and that depends on different variables for example population, hygienic conditions etc. In this consideration, the paper discusses the reasons why US needs universal health care and some details about health care issues exist in the state.
